Ryder Got Tubes for Christmas!!!

Ryder loved the car, and it kept him from crying when they took him from us to the O.R. I think it was harder on mom than him!!

He looks so handsome in his hospital gown.

Ryder's doctor at Primary Children's decided Ryder needed tubes put in his ear as soon as possible, so we went down on Tuesday to have the procedure done in Salt Lake. They put the first tube in his good ear and started to explore his smaller ear and found that he actually has an ear drum!! Which is stunning news, they didn't think he had an ear drum, so this news was the best Christmas gift of all. Now they won't have to reconstruct an ear drum for him when he gets older. And the best part is they were able to put a tiny tube in his small ear and hopefully get him feeling better!!!

What a Difference a Year Makes!

Here is Ryder's picture with Santa this year!
Here he is a year ago. I can't believe how fast they grow!

Merry Christmas to Everyone, Happy Holidays.

More Pictures

Here is Ryder at Grandma Kathy's Birthday Party.
We took some time today to do some photos of Ryder.

Grandma and Grandpa Wallace gave him this pacifier for Christmas last year, and he hasn't wanted to touch it till the other night, what a goof ball.

FINALLY!!! a new post. It has been a busy few weeks. We are starting to move cattle around for the fall and getting ready to wean calves and ship the Wyoming heifers. Third crop hay is done and ready to be sold. I can hardly believe it is the first of October and so stinking hot! I am ready for it to cool down a little. I repainted and decorated our master bathroom, I have always wanted to change it and even though it took almost a month I am glad to get it done. I would like to redo the kitchen, but it may be a few months before that gets done.
Hope everyone is doing good, please take care, happy hunting, safe harvest and best wishes.
We would like to Congratulate Kim & Lisa Christiansen on their new baby girl, Clarissa, born nine days ago!

Happy 1st Birthday!

I think he was a little sugar dazed at this point!
" Screw the hands, I'll just dive in head first!"

Sticks and shoes are a ton a fun!

This is the cake we had made for him. The theme of his party was Mickey Mouse, he loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!!

Can you believe he is a whole year old, I can't. We took him to get his shots on Monday, he weighs 20 lbs, 12 oz and is 30 1/4" long. He hasn't gained much weight in 3 months, but he has sure grown taller! He did really well with his first shots, handled them like a pro. He is now drinking regular milk, goodbye formula!!!!! He is walking around furniture like crazy, should be walking shortly! Anyways, thought I would post a few quick pictures and thanks again to everyone that came to the party, thanks for making it a special day for Ryder and our family. Hope all is well, take care, keep in touch!
Congratulations to Rick and Callie Thompson, they welcomed a little baby boy, George Thompson a week ago!

Cruisin'

Bill, Wade and Ryder enjoying Victoria, British Columbia.
Wade, Ryder and I with one of the coolest street acts I have ever seen. That is actually a real lady that we are standing with - she was amazing, we watched her interact with people for quite a while.

Here is Ryder in Ketchikan in his coat, sweatshirt, stroller and Wade's rain coat trying to stay dry.

Here we are on the deck at one end of our boat, just finished breakfast.

And here Wade and I are with Madam Anna in the Red Onion Saloon. She was our tour guide and I have to say that she was amazing and made the entire tour my favorite excursion we did on the whole cruise. You kind of had to have a sick, twisted sense of humor to enjoy the history of brothels and brothel girls - but we loved it. And yes, that is $20 dollar bills stuffed around her neckline and if you will notice Wade has money in his hand, huh? I wonder where that ended up????? We had a ton of fun in Skagway. It is a really neat old mining town, it is the only one in Alaska that has never burned down, so the buildings and streets are fun to walk around.

Wow, I have really been a slacker when it comes to blogging, well I will try to sum up two months in one short post......

Ryder is going to be 1 years old a week from today, I can hardly believe it. He is on the move constantly. He is pulling himself up on everything, emptying drawers, giving high fives, waving bye and also giving kisses - whew! And I hate to say it by he is definitely a man's boy, he screams for Wade, Grandpa Wayne and Grandpa Bill and could care less about being with mom, Grandma Kathy or Grandma Susan. He will come to his senses some day, those boys aren't all that wonderful! Ha-Ha! He got a hippo swimming pool from G. Kathy, and I hope to get him in it tomorrow, but I don't want to get him sunburned which is hard when he have very little shade! Ryder had his first eye appointment this week and will have his year check up in two weeks. I don't know where time goes - he is growing up so fast.
Cruise
Well last week we went on an Alaskan Cruise with the Wallace Family. Janet is turing 80 this year, Bill is 60 and Ryder is 1, we thought that was a good reason to go on a family vacation. We had an awesome time. We flew to Seattle, stopped in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria. In Juneau Wade, me and Shantelle went on a zipline tour where we soared 180 feet in the air through the rain forests, then we ate fresh crab at Twisted Fish (highly recommended). We also visited the Red Dog Saloon, which was fun with live entertainment and saw dust on the floor! Then we were on to Skagway, where we went on the White Pass Scenic Railway that toured a mountain pass where the gold miners traveled during the big gold rush, really pretty and neat history. Then we sent Ryder with the grandparents and Wade and I went on a Ghosts and Girls Tour, absolutely loved this tour. It toured Skagway and toured the Red Onion Saloon which is the old brothel of Skagway. I can't say enough about Skagway, it was a great town and Sweet Mama's has to die for cupcakes! Well then we were off to Ketchikan, we planned absolutely nothing in Ketchikan, and I loved it. Needless to say it was pouring rain, but it didn't stop the three of us, we put Ryder in the stroller, tied a rain coat around the stroller, put his hood on and off we went. It was a fun town, lots of fun stores, a neat old town built on stilts above the water and we also ate fantastic crab and the best clam chowder in the entire world! Well then we went to Victoria, British Columbia. We didn't have a lot of time there, but it is a really neat, historic town. Beautiful old stone buildings, a harbor and wonderful flowers. Janet, Susan and Shantelle went on a tour of Butchart Gardens, but the rest of us ate at a deli and walked/shopped around town. I would love to go back to Victoria for a weekend when we weren't so rushed. But now we are back to reality and trying to get Ryder back on schedule.

I also want to say Congratulations to Nicole and Cody, they are expecting their first baby the end of January and wish them the very best. AND Congrats to Todd, Tiffany, Whitney and Lauren, they are expecting another bundle of joy the end of January as well. So excited for all of them.
Well hope everyone is doing well and talk to ya'll soon, take care.

Long Time, No Post!!!

I made an appointment today at JCPenney for pictures, but decided that we didn't want to drive up there, so we went to my mom's and played with my camera - what a handsome boy!
Boy he is growing up!

Wade doesn't like how I have his hair combed - but it rarely stays comed. It usually looks like the photo below!

Can you believe that I actually forgot about the blog this last month? We have been so busy getting cattle gone, working, staying out of the rain and chasing Ryder that I never even thought about it until today when I was taking photos of Ryder! Anyways, he will be 10 months old on Monday and weighs 18 lbs, 10 oz. He is doing great, sitting up, crawling (his version is a little different) and eating lots of Mac & Cheese. We are all doing great and glad to get the cattle out on grass. Work has finally started to slow down a little bit and Wade hasn't been burning much with all the wet weather. I hate to complain about rain, but I am ready for a little sunshine, not 90 degree sunshine, but 72 degree sunshine! Ryder and I went to Boise with Wade a week ago for three days, we had a great time! I want to say Congrats to Justin, Chani and Josie - they welcomed a baby girl named Trinity on Friday morning! Also Happy Birthday (on the 9th) to Steph, hope she has a great day!

Growing Up Way Too Fast - Whitters!

I don't think Lauren is actually petting Ryder, I think she is trying to get his crazy hair to lay down!!!
Here's Miss Whitney at her preschool graduation last Thursday, can you believe how big she is getting and what a beautiful girl she is?

This is Whit saying her part at the graduation, she did a great job. We are very proud of her and hope she knows just how much we love her. Especially her cousin Ryder, he thinks the world of Whitney. And Whit takes such good care of Ryder - she is great helper and truly a blessing in all of our lives. We love you Whit, keep up the good work.

Happy Mother's Day to All Those Great Mom's Out There!!

Ryder and Wade at Whitney's preschool graduation, Ryder seems to be enjoying himself!!
I fear that Ryder is part monkey, he uses his feet almost as much as he uses his hands!
Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's, grandma's, great-grandma's, aunts, cousins, etc! Hope you all have a great day and get to spend it doing something you love. We love our mom's and grandma's very much and appreciate all they do for us. Thanks so much, we love you. Happy Mother's Day.

Shorty Shorts

What can you say about this little guy, but holy cow he is growing up!!

This is Ryder demonstrating how he can hold himself up and how he wants to start crawling, if those legs would only work!

This crazy kid loves his Saltines, especially since he can crush them all over the house, car and himself!

Ryder's 1st Easter

We made some fun cupcakes for our families for Easter and colored a few eggs. Whoa, wait a minute, where was Ryder while all these fun things were being done? Ummmm, in bed! I am sure he still enjoyed all the fun. He is getting teeth like crazy and thinking about crawling! Wow, where does time go, he is already 8 months old - my goodness! Hope all is well.

Ice Cream Sandwiches are the Best!

Oh that hair, what will we ever do with it????

This is Ryder's first attempt to eat an ice cream sandwich, he was a big fan of the ice cream! I think most of it ended up on his face, but who cares, he's a baby, that's where it's supposed to be! We also need to say a BIG THANKS to all our family for making Ryder's first Easter so special and fun, we love ya tons.

Great Hair!

Okay so it has been a while since I have posted any pics, well here are a few. Ryder is a pretty smiley kid. He weighs just over 17 lbs and is 21"+ long. He is rolling over like a champ and he is working on sitting up. We did learn tonight that he sits up really well when Grandma Kathy is feeding him a Fat Boy Ice Cream Sandwich!!! He eats like a horse and is more fun every day. Him and Wade were sick for about two weeks, holy cow that stunk! Then they felt better and then Wade came down with some weird stomach flu last Friday, but we are healthy at the moment and doing great. Ryder is sleeping really well, I put him in his bed about 8:30 and he's usually asleep by 8:40, no crying, fussing - he is a great boy. He then usually gets up about 6:15, which is outstanding. He will be 8 months old in a week, that is so hard to believe.
I also want to say Congrats to Kelly and Jenna who had a baby girl a few weeks ago (Monroe)- she's adorable!
Congrats: Don and Holly also welcomed Rosin Blue Waymire last Thursday, he is a handsome little boy, with the best hair ever and two of the proudest parents.
Birthday wishes sent out to Kylie, Mona, Cody, Sydnie and Mackenzie!!
Hope all is going well with everyone, take care for now, keep in touch. Have a Happy Easter!!!
