Cruisin'

Bill, Wade and Ryder enjoying Victoria, British Columbia.
Wade, Ryder and I with one of the coolest street acts I have ever seen. That is actually a real lady that we are standing with - she was amazing, we watched her interact with people for quite a while.

Here is Ryder in Ketchikan in his coat, sweatshirt, stroller and Wade's rain coat trying to stay dry.

Here we are on the deck at one end of our boat, just finished breakfast.

And here Wade and I are with Madam Anna in the Red Onion Saloon. She was our tour guide and I have to say that she was amazing and made the entire tour my favorite excursion we did on the whole cruise. You kind of had to have a sick, twisted sense of humor to enjoy the history of brothels and brothel girls - but we loved it. And yes, that is $20 dollar bills stuffed around her neckline and if you will notice Wade has money in his hand, huh? I wonder where that ended up????? We had a ton of fun in Skagway. It is a really neat old mining town, it is the only one in Alaska that has never burned down, so the buildings and streets are fun to walk around.

Wow, I have really been a slacker when it comes to blogging, well I will try to sum up two months in one short post......

Ryder is going to be 1 years old a week from today, I can hardly believe it. He is on the move constantly. He is pulling himself up on everything, emptying drawers, giving high fives, waving bye and also giving kisses - whew! And I hate to say it by he is definitely a man's boy, he screams for Wade, Grandpa Wayne and Grandpa Bill and could care less about being with mom, Grandma Kathy or Grandma Susan. He will come to his senses some day, those boys aren't all that wonderful! Ha-Ha! He got a hippo swimming pool from G. Kathy, and I hope to get him in it tomorrow, but I don't want to get him sunburned which is hard when he have very little shade! Ryder had his first eye appointment this week and will have his year check up in two weeks. I don't know where time goes - he is growing up so fast.
Cruise
Well last week we went on an Alaskan Cruise with the Wallace Family. Janet is turing 80 this year, Bill is 60 and Ryder is 1, we thought that was a good reason to go on a family vacation. We had an awesome time. We flew to Seattle, stopped in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria. In Juneau Wade, me and Shantelle went on a zipline tour where we soared 180 feet in the air through the rain forests, then we ate fresh crab at Twisted Fish (highly recommended). We also visited the Red Dog Saloon, which was fun with live entertainment and saw dust on the floor! Then we were on to Skagway, where we went on the White Pass Scenic Railway that toured a mountain pass where the gold miners traveled during the big gold rush, really pretty and neat history. Then we sent Ryder with the grandparents and Wade and I went on a Ghosts and Girls Tour, absolutely loved this tour. It toured Skagway and toured the Red Onion Saloon which is the old brothel of Skagway. I can't say enough about Skagway, it was a great town and Sweet Mama's has to die for cupcakes! Well then we were off to Ketchikan, we planned absolutely nothing in Ketchikan, and I loved it. Needless to say it was pouring rain, but it didn't stop the three of us, we put Ryder in the stroller, tied a rain coat around the stroller, put his hood on and off we went. It was a fun town, lots of fun stores, a neat old town built on stilts above the water and we also ate fantastic crab and the best clam chowder in the entire world! Well then we went to Victoria, British Columbia. We didn't have a lot of time there, but it is a really neat, historic town. Beautiful old stone buildings, a harbor and wonderful flowers. Janet, Susan and Shantelle went on a tour of Butchart Gardens, but the rest of us ate at a deli and walked/shopped around town. I would love to go back to Victoria for a weekend when we weren't so rushed. But now we are back to reality and trying to get Ryder back on schedule.

I also want to say Congratulations to Nicole and Cody, they are expecting their first baby the end of January and wish them the very best. AND Congrats to Todd, Tiffany, Whitney and Lauren, they are expecting another bundle of joy the end of January as well. So excited for all of them.
Well hope everyone is doing well and talk to ya'll soon, take care.
